There's some confusion over the exact title of this song, especially the spelling of Toodeloo. The one used here is that used on a primary source - the original LP release of Wake Of The Flood. Later releases of Wake Of The Flood & other albums have had slight variations. Robert Hunter's book of lyrics 'Box Of Rain' has Toodleloo as do the online lyrics on Hunter's WWW archive.

Robert Hunter has said,

"am unaware of the toodle-oo controversy. Does this solve it? Are you aware the Duke Ellington (from whence the source) pronounced it Toad Low?"
Thus the source for the title is the 20's Duke Ellington composition East St. Louis Toodle-oo.

The version on Without A Net is from the 21st March 1990 show at Hamilton.
