The titles "The Bottle Let Me Down" and "Tonight The Bottle Let Me Down" are both registered as written by Merle Haggard on the on-line BMI and HFA sites. It is assumed here that these are the same song though this has yet to be confirmed. The recordings listed above may be under either name. The shorter title has been used in Deadlists as it occurs on the majority of Merle Haggard recordings.
