Originally recorded by Bo Diddley on 24th May 1956 at the Chess Studios in Chicago. Released as both a 45rpm and 78rpm single with I'm Bad on the B-side in 1956.

Writing credits on records are Ellas McDaniel, real name of Bo Diddley. Often appears incorrectly on recordings and elsewhere as Ellis McDaniels or other variation.

Performed by Bo Diddley in the film La Bamba (1987)
