Comments This list is based on a composite of the circulating AUD and SBD tapes. The SBD contains Me & My Uncle through Uncle John, with cuts at the beginning of FOTD and the end of Uncle John. The AUD contains the entire contents listed, with several cuts and several tunes out of sequence on most circulating copies.

This show is all one long set with an acoustic passage in the middle running from Friend Of The Devil through Katie Mae. After Man's World Bobby says "We're gonna take you from all this sweat and steam and uproar and tumult and we're gonna break out our acoustic guitars and regale you with some wooden music."

There is a tape comprised of the 4/12/70 AUD of Good Morning Little Schoolgirl; Mama Tried; China Cat Sunflower > I Know You Rider; Viola Lee Blues that sometimes circulates mislabeled "Fillmore West 4/9/70" and sometimes "Fillmore East 7/10/70."

Miles Davis contributed an hour-long set each evening, and according to DeadBase Stone The Crows and Clouds were also on the bill.

The AUD tape was mastered by Harry Ely. Some copies in circulation have the last couple minutes of Deep Elem Blues cut, others don't.

"Cowboy Song" is an Instrumental improvisation involving audience participation on a hoe-down type riff with an unknown vocalist conducting in a sort of scat & yodel fashion (it isn't Marmaduke or Ramblin Jack or David Bromberg -- maybe it's Nelson on acid?); this one-time-only affair never had a name -- the title comes from tape labels.

The Other One Drums sound like they were cut out on the spot with the pause button.

Quite a bit of Lovelight is missing, probably; Pigpen is only just starting to get wound up when the circulating AUD cuts.

SBDs of at least 3 of Miles' sets circulate (the 10th, the 11th, and one more).

One [31:28] ; Not Fade Away [#2:04] > Turn On Your Lovelight [28:49] ; [0:35]
Comments The circulating tape contains only the last 32 minutes of this show. DeadBase IX gives this list: [electric] Cold Rain And Snow; I'm A King Bee; Beat It On Down The Line; Dire Wolf; It's A Man's, Man's, Man's World; [acoustic] Don't Ease Me In; New Speedway Boogie; Friend Of The Devil; Me And My Uncle; Deep Elem Blues; Candyman; Black Peter; Uncle John's Band; [electric] Dark Star > Saint Stephen > Not Fade Away > Lovelight.

There is a tape in circulation mislabeled "4/11/70" containing #Dark Star > Saint Stephen > Not Fade Away > Saint Stephen > Turn On Your Lovelight#; this is actually a fragment of the 2/8/70 SBD.

Encore And We Bid You Good Night
Comments The timings represent a composite of the SBD and AUD tapes. The SBD contains Good Morning Little Schoolgirl and Cumberland through Feedback. The AUD master is excellent and often mislabeled "SBD;" the circulating copy contains Good Morning Little Schoolgirl through Deep Elem Blues and Uncle John through Feedback.

There are partial selections and multiple sequences of the AUD tape in circulation, often mislabeled "SBD," and there are also parts of the 4/9/70 SBD in circulation mislabeled "4/12/70." The list given above follows the 2-CD composite tape of the AUD with the SBD reels that was assembled and put into circulation by Nathan Wolfson and David Gans.

The Bill Graham Intro of Good Morning Little Schoolgirl goes "If the Dead End Kids were alive today, they would be called "The Grateful Dead." Jerry sings only the first two stanzas of China Cat before jumping off into the Jam.

At the end of I Know You Rider they start to go into High Time but the AUD tape cuts after 1 second. After the splice Good Lovin' starts. It's conceivable that they didn't actually go on to play High Time. There is a Tighten Up Jam starting around 4 minutes into Dancin.

This is all one long set. Candyman, Deep Elem Blues, Cumberland Blues, Dire Wolf, Black Peter, and Uncle John's Band are all played with electric instruments, not acoustic.

The AUD tape of Candyman cuts in at the second verse, "with your hair a-hangin down."

Cary Wolfson attended this show and remembers the Dead coming back out to do the And We Bid You Good Night encore.
